Puzzle Installation and Collaborative Project

So, after the mess in midtown, we went to Chelsea, specifically to The Reaves Gallery, at 526 West 26th Street, to get a puzzle piece for each of the kids.  They have this really cool program, you go and either create the art piece there, or bring it home, and then drop it off at a later time, and it becomes part of a huge installation.  So far there is over 2,500 pieces, and their goal is to get 5,000 total.  They have been in Time Out New York, which is where I learned about them.  I actually met the artist, Tim Kelly, when we went on Saturday, and spent about 1/2 hour talking with him, getting info for here, and info on how to get this in my daughter's high school.
This project has grown to more than 15 states, and 4 countries, and continues to grow!!  They ask for a donation of $10 per piece, but it is a small price to pay to keep the art alive.

Tim Kelly also has art workshops and classes, and all of the supplies are included.  Click on the link below for more information.
