Key to the City #2 ~ Trinity Church

We went to church today.  On a Thursday.  And it was beautiful.  We went to the side graveyard area where the headstone of Alexander Hamilton was.  There were headstones there so old, they were unreadable.  A really interesting time, although We never actually got to unlock anything.  But that is not the point of this.  I think the point is to go places you normally would not go, and this qualifies.

It was a really hot day, and not too crowded, I was pleasantly surprised.  There were plenty of tourists, but since it was a church, it was nice and quiet.  Looked like a lot of people come here on their lunch breaks, there are small tables and chairs, not IN the cemetery, but before you go in.   We only spent about 15 or 20 minutes outside looking at the tombstones.

The inside was beautiful.  When you first walk in, you can go to the left or right, and just look around.  The altar is amazing, and it was so quiet and peaceful inside.  I was able to take a few pictures before they were starting a service, and you can see them here at Unseen NYC's flickr.
